Before the trial, does Bob Ewell expect Atticus not to try and defend Tom as best because Atticus is white?

Does Bob think Atticus won't try on defending Tom because Atticus is white.

In my opinion, the statement above is inaccurate. I don't believe that anyone who knew Atticus would accuse him of not doing his best at ALL times. I think Ewell's first reaction to the news would have been fear. Finch was known to be one of the best..... if I were on the wrong side of the courtroom I'd be nervous..... thus, so should he.
