5 ways that the White Savior is potrayed in TKAM

I suppose you could make an argument for the white savior motif in Harper Lee's famous novel. I might suggest that Atticus transcends this moniker simply because he is doing his job rather than setting out to save the black community. Atticus is humble and quite self-aware of his role as an educated white man and the plight of Tom Robinson. It can be argued that there are shades of the white saviour element in this novel but, by concentrating on this, I think the reader might be missing the point.
