To build a fire

⦁ Why do you think the author decided not to give the man in this story a name? How might the story be different if the man had a name?

The man's name doesn't matter.... he could be anyone journeying through the Yukon. The story is about instinct and survival. It's about youthful, inexperienced, and foolish choices. It's about human nature, as opposed to the intelligence of instinctual animals.
