Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog)

Three Men in a Boat

do you sympathise with the man who lamented about the loss of two pounds worth of food, he didn't have on his sea trip? give reason for your answer.

Possibly, the man shouldn't have assumed his stomach would be seaworthy. I feel more sympathy in terms of the delicious food he was unable to eat, rather than the two pounds he'd paid. Had his stomach cooperated, it would have been money well spent.
