What does Obierika tell Oknkwo he had been planning to do, and why

I see no reference to Obierika telling Okonkwo he had planned anything. The two discuss the fact that Obierika was disappointed at Okonkwo's part in Ikemefuna's death. Obierika also speaks of the evening meeting at which his daughter's bride price will be set. Okonkwo will be there to help negotiate.
