How is okonkwos exile in Mbanta a personal disaster

Okonkwo is humiliated by his exile. Once considered strong and influential in the tribe, Okonkwo is told to leave. Okonkwo is also separated from everything meaningful for him. He loses his wealth;he loses his family; he loses his identity. When Okonkwo returns to his village, he no longer recognizes it. The white men have come and everything has changed.
