At the meeting, the first man to speak is Okika, one of the six men, who was imprisoned. His speech is all about the necessity of action, calling on his clansmen to fight, even if it means they have to fight against the Christian converts. The lines are drawn, and Christianity is seen as something that must be eliminated at all costs before it is too late.
