What bothers Ross about his students reaction to hitler and nazis ?

Ben is bothered by the fact that his students aren't affected by the information they discuss or the film they watch. He wonders if they are so conditioned by violence in film (fiction) that they cannot comprehend reality. He also ponders whether or not they can't relate because they've never known violence or suffering.
