Robert's desire to be Mr. Ross' bodyguard is a direct effect of his complete respect and appreciation of Mr. Ross. Sadly, this isn't an appropriate response, and it further illustrates Robert's desire to be a part of the experiment.... a desire to belong and to be valued, rather than to learn from it.
