Propaganda is information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view. It is usually passed off as objective news. Propaganda can be spotted if the information is biased towards an idea without just cause. Most people need to be educated enough to interpret propaganda when they see it.
