How are david and laurie different in their reactions to the film?

Laurie was touched and bothered by the film: David didn't have as intense a reaction.

Laurie was disturbed by the film where as David wasn't bothered much by the film and just thought that it was history and that it wouldn't happen again and that he couldn't do anything about it.
