Do the Watsons ever been to a restaurant or a place to eat ?

Momma had the trip planned down to the last detail. Dad, however, decided to drive straight through while everyone slept. They did not stop to eat in a restaurant or stay overnite in a hotel. They merely stopped at rest areas to stretch their legs and use the restroom.
