The Village By the Sea

What do you think enables Mr Panwallah to see and yet cross the differences between his position and Hari's?

Please tell me the answer of this question because it's my exam tomorrow...

Mr. Panwallah's compassion and loneliness cause him to reach out to Hari.... to give the boy a chance and let him make something of himself. Panwallah enjoyed Hari's company..... Hari described the old man as filled with "kindness".
