What did McMurdo mean by it .

McMurdo means that the Scowlers have a long reach. Running away doesn't do much good because the Scowlers have connections far and wide.

Mc Murdo meant that if we run together Baldwin and the scowrers will reach us because they have contacts with many people over there and they will find us
