Macdonald:How did you know there was a danger then.

Mrs Douglas:Can a husband carry a secret all his life and a woman who loves him have no suspicion on it? I knew it in many ways .By certain precautions he took.The way he looked at unexpected strangers.Certain words he let fall.

How does Mrs.Douglas convince the team of detectives that she was aware of the danger that her husband faced.

They knew that her wife knew the answer all along because she had lived with him for a long time and Douglas used to talk about Bodymaster mcginty and thanked god that thankfuly he is not the BODYMASTER of Douglas. He always talked about the ancient order of freeman and she was pretty sure and told the detectives herself that she was sure that an event occured Douglas in america and it got his life in danger...
