Greek theatre, predominantly composed of tragedy, swtiched gears in The Trojan Women. The geopolitical unrest, which is focused upon in the play, protests the irrationality, violence and horrors of war, and in turn, demands peace, solidarity and humanism. The production illustrates and makes examples of the divided cities, divided peoples and the desperate need for reconciliation.
