The Eloi and the Marlock are a study in opposites. The Eloi are pretty and graceful where as the Marlock are not. The Eloi are not that intelligent where as the Marlock show great intelligence. The Eloi where clothes where as the Marlock are naked. Although beautiful, the Eloi are lazy. The Marlock are rather ugly but they work very hard.
