The Tempest

Miranda's name comes from the Latin word Miari, which means "to wonder at or to admire"

How does this name choice suggest Miranda's nature?

Miranda is both beautiful and curious. Her beauty, innocence and sympathy are certainly to be admired. Despite her father's protests, his beautiful young daughter is curious about the crew washed ashore. She becomes enchanted with Ferdinand which encourages her further "wandering" both emotionally and physically.
