    Miss Quentin's Story

    Creative Writing

    Objective:

    Students will creatively engage with the novel's perspective

    Structure:

    As stringent as Jason is in his narrative, it's clear that he does not fully explain or understand Miss Quentin. As a result, it's not always clear who Miss Quentin is and why she does what she does.

    For this assignment, students will explore events from Miss Quentin's perspective.

    Re-read the scene in the novel in which Jason bullies Miss Quentin to sign over the check sent by Caddy.

    Ask students to write a diary entry that describes that scene from Miss Quentin's perspective.
