Milton is lamenting the loss of his sight. He wonders how God could let this happen. Milton must come to terms not only blindness but his ability to write. Milton decides that God's plan is ultimately always righteous and that he must keep faith that he will find his purpose. I think it follows a story like Job from the Bible.
