Clothing is an important part of the story, particularly in terms of Percy, and the way other people perceive him. Percy is dasing, some people describe him as a fop. He overdresses, pays far too much attention to his appearance, and in turn, makes people see him as a person without substance. I's almost as if his clothing is a disguise. Percy's clothing would never expose him as the brave and daring Pimpernel.
