The Scarlet Pimpernel

Chpt 13-15: #4. Discuss the presence of only a sleeping Sir Percy when Chauvelin enters the supper room at one o'clock AND whether not Chauvelin feels he has failed to detect the identity of the Scarlet Pimpernel.

I think Chauvelin suspects to see the Pimpernel decked out in his "super costume" but instead sees weak, mild mannered Sir. Percy sleeping in a corner. No Chauvelin doesn't suspect anything. He tells L. Blakeney that her information was false and that she may only have her brother back when he faces the Pimpernel on French soil.
