The Red Badge of Courage

What is Crane suggesting by celebrating nature as-in a sence-the heroine of the novel

I need a more specific answer, more addressed to the above question, of what Crane is suggesting by celebrating nature as the heroine of the novel. I only need one or two sentences.

Nature is the heroine in the sense that it is always triumphant because it lives on long after men and his disasters and conflicts are gone. Nature is always there and is always the same; sometimes we fight against it, but we are always going to be surrounded by it.
