The Ransom of Red Chief

Why do Bill and Sam agree to the terms of Mr. Dorset's letter in "The Ransom of Red Chief?" Can you give me a quote to prove why they agree?

Bill and Sam are thinking that the keeping the boy any longer is not worth the $2000 ransom. The boy is so rambunctious and annoying that Bill can barely stand it. In fact, at one point, Bill actually tries to return the boy at one point. They heartily agree to bring the boy back.
