The Power Irony

The Power Irony

The women of the 26th century

Patriarchal systems of social order characterize most societies. Women are getting more empowered in the current 21st century, but the patriarchal system is still present in many societies. Ironically, the 26th century described by the author is entirely matriarchal, where women are the supreme leaders and make vital decisions that affect the entire society. The matriarchal society contradicts the expectations of the current man because that is a dream that was never meant to be a reality.

Moldovia’s wife

The initiation of a female power coup by the wife of the president of Moldovia is entirely satirical. The action by the woman to stage a coup and seize leadership of the country to punish men is sarcastic because it does not benefit society in any way. Consequently, the actions of women to misuse their power merely to punish men are brutal and unreasonable.

Mass slaughtering of men

Tatiana is the woman leader of Moldovia, and she is using her power to slaughter men who try to critic her leadership. Allie is not happy with the conduct of Tatiana, and she resets the world to ancient times so that women can realize that they have been misusing their power.

The irony of Allie

Allie is among the few women who discover their supernatural powers in the 26th century and decides to use her power to impact society positively. For instance, Allie uses her power to heal people. As a result, Allie earns societal respect, and she is later declared a religious leader in the matriarchal society.

The irony of women’s fingertips

The women of the 26th century are very powerful, and they use their fingertips to zap men with electric currents. Tunde experiences the rude electric current shock when trying to kiss her girlfriend, and he is left paralyzed. Ironically, women use their newfound power to punish men instead of using that power for societal benefit. The reader realizes that women are determined to punish men for subjecting them to the patriarchy for many past centuries.
