It is special because it wears more than one face at a time.

Just as he said it, eleven other faces appeared, one on each surface, and each one wore a different expression. "I usually use one at a time," he confided, as all but the smiling one disappeared again. "It saves wear and tear.

Dodecahedron is a shape with twelve faces. He respect numbers but he is good to the travelers. he leads the way. Dodecahedron doesnt like if someone disobey numbers.
