Why doesn’t Juana throw the pearl into the ocean when Kino offers it to her?
at the end of the story they throw the pearl back to the sea. but why Juana won't throw it?

I think that Juana wants Kino to throw it. Kino was the one obsessed with the pearl. When Juana tried to throw it in the ocean , Kino had struck her. Juana wants Kino to end their cursed existence by throwing the pearl back into the water.
