why does juana reject kino's plan to separate? from the pearl from chapter 6

Kino orders Juana and Coyotito to leave him, for he can go faster alone, but she staunchly refuses. Juana is very much a part of Kino and I suspect she doesn't want to be left helpless with her baby with the trackers out.
