Why do you think that Steinbeck makes the trackers pratically anonymous?

The trackers are symbols of the greedy pearl speculators. They act as a metaphor for the people who have money and want Kino's pearl. The trackers are nameless henchmen who have threatened Kino and his family since the pearl was discovered.
