what happens to kino and juana in chapter 6

Kino and Juana are traveling north when Kino realizes they are being tracked. The couple escapes to the mountains, and the trackers continue to follow them. Kino leaves Juana and Coyotito hiding in a cave, and make his way back to attack the trackers. He kills one, and shoots another.... Coyotito is hit by a bullet during the scuffle and is killed. After Coyotito's death, Kino and Juana return to La Paz, where Kino proceeds to throw the pearl back into the ocean.
