What does the name Apolonia means in the Pearl?

Apalonia is the rather fat wife of Juan Tomás. She is mother of four children. Like her husband, Apolonia is sympathetic to Kino and Juana’s plight. She agrees to give them shelter in their time of need. I believe it is Juan Tomás who warns Kino of the folly in pesuing the Pearl and that he will end up with nothing.
