The Pearl

In Chapter One, we meet Kino's family..... his wife and son. They are not rich or even comfortable..... but they get by, and their home is filled with love. In this chapter, the family is thrown into turmoil, when Kino and Juana's ianfant son, Coyotito, is stung by a scorpion. Knowing the doctor will not come to their home..... Kino goes to the doctor. The doctor never even comes to the door because Kino has nothing with which to pay him.
