Identify the conflict in the story.

I'd identify this conflict as internal. I believe that Kino's struggle is more with himself and the way the pearl changes him than anything else......... although some might cite the conflict that ensues between characters (mainly his wife who wants the pearl gone, or the other people who desire it) to be the main conflict, but I will stand be INTERNAL.
