Miss. Johnson "was a tiny ball of energy with a high pitched girlish voice." She was George's third grade teacher, and he loved her...... she made him love school. After earning her teaching degree, she continued her education by taking classes she enjoyed. She took her students to Broadway plays (parents paid for the tickets), and she paid for the transportation. Miss. Johnson required her students to dress and act like ladies and gentlemen, performed plays with them at school, and helped the students form their own Shakespeare Club. She loved to travel and used her travels to teach geography....... she spent time with her students off hours to work on projects, to bake for holidays, or just because they needed her. Miss. Johnson sounds like a pretty special teacher to me.
