The Pact

Rameck's grandmother tries to teach him a tough lesson when she takes back the money she's lent him for portfolio pictures because she found out that his mother used it to pay the utility bill. "You can't help nobody till you help yourself," she tells him. Do you agree with her philosophy? What do you think Rameck took away from that experience?

I agree with his grandmother's philosophy. She lent Rameck money for a reason..... to help him with something that was worthwhile, and that he couldn't do alone. She was helping Rameck help himself. To have that money go to paying bills because other money has been wasted on things that are wanted rather than needed goes against his grandmother's principles.

what can you say about ramecks mom asking him for money
