what happens when the socs are attemptimg to drown pony

Johnny pulls his switch-blade and kills Bob.

When the Socs are atempting to drown Ponyboy he passes out possibly from the cold water and being drowned. Then Johnny gets his switch-blade and stabs Bob in the back. Ponyboy only realizes it when he wakes up from passing out.
