The Outsiders

Point of View: Ponyboy’s point of view about Dally has changed dramatically since the beginning of the novel. Explain how it has changed (compare and contrast).

I am referring to chapter 9 or 10.

By the end of the book, Ponyboy sees that Derry does care about him. He sees that Derry puts so many ruled on Ponyboy because he loves him. Derry wants Ponyboy to be something more than simply greaser. I think that Derry always felt this way from beginning to the end of the book. It is Ponyboy that needed to realize this.
