The Outsiders

I need a quote that proves why the Greasers hate the Socs if you could tell me it and the page number that would be great?

The conflict between the Socs and the Greasers goes both ways and is heavily influence by socioeconomic status.

No rival gangs, only Socs. And you can't win against them no matter how hard you try, because they've got all the breaks and even whipping them isn't going to change that fact. (Chapter One)

I'm not sure how you spell it, but [Socs] is the abbreviation for Socials, the West-side rich kids. It's like the term greaser that's used to class all us boys on the East Side. (Chapter One)

We're poorer than the Socs and the middle class. (Chapter One)

Page 34 paragraph 4

It's about how the Greasers hate the socs because the Greasers think the Soces are rich carefree and have no problems this is when Ponyboy gets told that Soces have problems also from Cherry.
