how was darry different from the others in the gang? how was ponyboy different?

Darry really has it all. He is strong, smart, and good-looking. He could have gone to college on a scholarship but had to stay home to take care of the family after their parents were killed. Pony is more of a romantic at heart. He is good in school and, unlike most Greasers, likes to ponder the deeper meanings of life.
