Did Dally have any other options beside Suicide?

I know that he could have gone to the Greasers for help after he went running out of the hospital room the day Johnny died. But did he ever think about turning himself in? Or maybe just Grieve?

I think Dally did have other options but he was emotionally disturbed about Johnny's death and it was in his personality to go out in a blaze of gunfire.
