One article is all about Darry, Soda, and Ponyboy living on their own, and it says that they shouldn't be separated. This makes Ponyboy realize that there is a chance they might be, and that he might be put in a "boy's home" after he appears in juvenile court for running away. Ponyboy balks at this news, even though Steve tells him not to worry about it.
