How does ponyboy blaming darry ( loving father figure) and why doesn't johnny blame his abusive parents reflect their view of responsibility for things in life?

I don't think that Pony blames Darry for Johnny's problems. Ponyboy has trouble adjusting to his big brother in a parental role. Pony doesn't like being told what to do by Darry. I think this stems, in part, from missing his parents. I think Johnny does blame is parents for a lot of his sadness. He doesn't even let his mother into the hospital room to see him.
