How does the cyclops respond when Odysseus asf for hospitality

Odysseus mentions that certain Gods favor them and would expect Cyclops to offer hospitality. Cyclopes isn't impressed. He says that the Cyclopes's are stronger than the Gods and do not fear them,

We Cyclopes do not care about Zeus or any of your blessed gods, for we are ever so much stronger than they.
