Athena intervenes with Zeus on Odysseus' behalf, she advises Telemachos, reassures Penelope, calms the stoms brought on by Poseidon, urges Odysseus to make the right choices, increases Penelope's beauty in order to trap the suitors, orders an end to the fighting, and eventually acts witness to the pact of peace.
