Why doesn't Madame Loisel enjoy her life at at the beginning of the story?

Madame Loisel doesn't enjoy life because she is fixated on the things she doesn't have..... things she feels herself entitled to. She is too busy thinking about her wants that she doesn't take the time to appreciate the things she has.
