The Necklace

Madame Loisel's husband is a minor character. We might see him as an antagonist, Madame Loisel's antagonist, as he even when he thinks he's giving her something she wants.... she doesn't appreciate it. Madame Loisel blames her circumstances on her husband.... at least until she puts them in even worse circumstances on her own.
