How is Mathilde not mature?

Mathilde's immaturity is most evident in her selfishness and trantrums. She is selfish enough to believe she's been cheated by life.... she has no idea how to enjoy the things she has. Her tantrums and demands remind one of a small child in a toy store.... "I want, I want..."
