The Most Dangerous Game

Interpret the end of the ending of the story and what it says about Rainsford and humans more generally.

We might invejane the the experience of being hunted has taught Rainsford a lessing about killing other animals but the facts that Rainsford is sleeping in Zaroffs bed says otherwise.

Rainsford kills Zaroff in the end. This is escape type fiction (for entertainment) so I am hesitant to read too much meaning into it. I suppose there is the idea about the primal elements of Rainsford insisting that Zaroff finish the hunt in his bedroom.
