State your interpretation to the statement that "Rainsford knew now an animal at bay feels."

One of the themes running through this story is the fact that the hunter becomes the hunted. Rainsford's earlier arguments about animals having no emotions, when being hunted, comes back to haunt him when Zaroff hunts him.
