Analyze Rainsford’s characterization. Does he change over the course of the story?
You can learn a lot about Rainsford by looking at his dialogue, since characters state their beliefs and ideas very openly in this story. The main thing that changes for Rainsford is his position of power - he is in favor of the hunter/hunted power dynamic when he is the hunter, but when he is the hunted, does he feel differently? At what point does Rainsford’s relationship to "the hunt" change, and why does that matter to him?
